| I really like the North South choke and I often use it when I have some one in side control and they defend by stalling (home alone defense). I have also frequently encountered the problem the guy asks about in the follow-up video (about how to avoid letting the guy defend with an arm). But even when the arm does sneak through I can sometimes finish off the choke with something like a North South Arm Triangle...but it is no where near as effective. Best to keep tight like Marcelo advises and avoid giving the defender the chance to sneak the arm in at all. The North South Choke is great for both gi and no gi. Do you guys ever use this choke? What are you thoughts on it? Problems? | |
