I am a fan of pretty well any metal while I train (ie. Disturbed, rammstein, slipknot) however our instructor loves the top 40 music like lady gaga, rhianna, etc.

Music during class! That sounds cool. We don't have any. Crying or Very sad If I take part in a tournament this summer I will have to pick entrance music. I went last year and it was pretty funny. Actually, one of my friends here is a fan of Japanese metal and he used that for his entrance music. Smile No idea what band it was. For training music I like rap type stuff. If I am just sitting around listening to music I tend to listen to jazz/blues/experimental/motown/rock. (Tom Waits, Nick Cave, John Lurie, Led Zepplin) or something like that.

I've always thought I'd like to have "Stereo Love" be my entrance song. Me and my husband will crank it if it's on the radio on the way to class and replace the lyrics with, "When you gonna stop breaking my aaaaaaaaarm..." lol

Oh yeah, and for training music I prefer upbeat stuff - although the local top 40 station and the instructor's iPod are pretty much the same, hehe. Once, I brought in a CD of electronica tunes for Randori night and you should have seen the look on my instructor's face.

I've thought of two more potential songs. And I am leaning strongly towards the first...

I'm Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys:

and

Prickly Thorn, ut Sweetly Worn by The White Stripes:
